Author Dale Thacker has released his debut work, Tales of a Bear Hunter, a collection of personal experiences spanning from his childhood up to the present. Dale begins the book with a chapter dedicated to his grandfather, whose incredible stories about bear hunting sparked an interest in Dale that grew into a lifelong passion.

The stories lead up to the present, where in a full-circle moment, we see Dale passing on his knowledge and love of bear hunting to his young grandson, who is quickly learning the ropes.

The icing on the cake? Tales of a Bear Hunter hit #1 on Amazon’s New Releases chart on the very first day.
